Battle of the Talents
Battle of the talents is a competition held in Witney Town open to the whole of West Oxfordshire! To enter you have to be 18 or under on 31 December 2008 and be at a school/college in West Oxfordshire. If you win you will have a confirmed set at the 2009 Riverside Festival, A confirmed set as support act with Oxfordshires' hottest band: Contraband and the chance to cut a demo disc! There will be a professional panel of judges at every heat and fans can support their friends as loudly as they want and to register the "Audience Vote!" The Grand Final will be held on December 12 2008 when four finalists will compete when the winning act will be chosen and when Contraband will play the final set of the evening. All the heats will be held at Langdale Hall Witney and Fat Lill's Corn Street Witney
All the proceeds go towards a new music studio for the Youth of West Oxfordshire in Witney Youth Centre. All entry forms must be handed in by 31 July 2008.
